Eyes Be Closed

A special occasion  outfit…

A vintage velvet and taffeta 50s style ballgown with velvet sash around the waist. I wore this to the Film Fatale afterparty (albeit briefly). I wish I could dress like this all day everyday. Thanks to the almost full circle skirt of this dress, it’s perfect for spinning around for hours on end.

Mille-Feuille

This was yesterday- I was working from home until 5 (pyjama club FTW!) so afterwards I felt like being fancy. If I had to pick one thing from my wardrobe that represents my style the most it would be this glorious skirt. Fashioned out of my debs dress (which was, shock horror, 6 years ago now), it has layers and layers of delicious mille-feuille that make me feel just magic.

Girls like you

This is me today- yes I have new hair. Best part of beautiful Summer weather is getting to wear a pair of my ridiculous sunglasses. These photos have not been retouched to brighten the colours- my hair really is that bright! One of the perks of being home and having a real grown up job is being able to treat myself to frivolous things like pretty pretty hair. Thanks Mom for taking these shots, you may have a whole other career ahead of you yet :)

All The Fun Of The Circus

One of my favourite blogs over the last few months has been Tiny Toadstool. I almost hate to share. She has a wonderful playful sense of style which I really identify with. There is nothing try hard about what she wears- she always looks like a cake and reminds me of sailors and schoolgirls and ballerinas all wrapped into one which I enjoy a great deal.

Shan Shan’s hat collection is particularly impressive- she makes her own beautiful berets, collars and mittens which can be seen over on her Etsy and she also sells some fantastic vintage finds here. Every outfit post makes me smile and fall in love with tulle and bows a little bit more which I didn’t think was possible.

Core Competences

Perfect for a day at the flea market. I was very bold and bought new glasses frames AND a cardigan. I have approx 5 euro left for the week now, deadly.

Flea market was great today, I only wish I had boundless stores of money so I could have bought it alllllllllllllll. Pottering around town was such a treat too although I will be paying for it without a doubt for the next forever or so…
