Is maith liom milseáin. Is fearr liom éadaí.

Ah sure it’s only meself. Firstly hi! I’ve posted so many “I’m sorry for abandoning you” posts I’m beginning to feel they should have a category all of their own. Let’s move on shall we? Here’s what I look like today, pics taken in my lovely little room in fair London.

I’ve had many many things going in lately, one huge piece of news in particular… I’m a-coming home! With ever increasing numbers of my friends leaving Ireland, I seem to be one of the few crazy enough to return. It’s all in the name of progress however, I have managed to land myself a super amazing job with loads of opportunities. So it’s both a sad and super super happy time. Sad to be leaving my adopted city of London and my beautiful friends here, but also excited to be back with my family and boy and friends again.

I was also completely shocked and delighted to find myself on the long list for the Irish Blog Awards 2011 in the category of Best Lifestyle Blog. TANKS VERY MUCH LADS. Not that I have much faith in making it further down the road due to the fierce competition amongst some of my most favourite blogs in all the land, it means a lot to squeeze in there anyway.

ps fashion weeks mean me being chained to my computer so expect more blabbing soon

Little Red

Hello internet, this is what I look like today. Feeling rather festive of late (if you couldn’t tell already), I rocked some red today a la red riding hood. Excuse my awful quality photo, I used Photo Booth for this glorious shot. Anyhoo:

Cardigan- Penneys a few years ago, Shirt & Pinafore- H&M, Spotted Bow- off some pyjamas from Penneys, Brooch- robbed from my sister (Hi Lisa!!), Headband- Snow White themed from Disneyland Paris

All The Fun Of The Circus

One of my favourite blogs over the last few months has been Tiny Toadstool. I almost hate to share. She has a wonderful playful sense of style which I really identify with. There is nothing try hard about what she wears- she always looks like a cake and reminds me of sailors and schoolgirls and ballerinas all wrapped into one which I enjoy a great deal.

Shan Shan’s hat collection is particularly impressive- she makes her own beautiful berets, collars and mittens which can be seen over on her Etsy and she also sells some fantastic vintage finds here. Every outfit post makes me smile and fall in love with tulle and bows a little bit more which I didn’t think was possible.

Day 7

A Picture of Someone You Love

This is Sorcha. She’s one of my little sisters (there’s 5 of us in total). I love her lots and lots. Despite being 6 years older than her, she doesn’t make me feel like an old sad case. We’re not just sisters you see, she’s also one of my very very bestest best friends in the whole world. With my being in London, I obviously miss her (as well as all of my other beautiful family members) too much. She shares my irrational love of Harry Potter, enjoys a good plate of cheese, has a bow collection to rival even my own and also embraces being a big ginge. We often swap clothes despite her being far more blessed in the chest-al region than I am- (see, it’s still sort of fashion related!)

Sorcha will turn 18 in April, I can’t wait until I can go out on the razz with her without feeling like an awfully bad influence. I’m secretly hoping she’ll move to London so we can tell secrets in French and gossip about boys.

Just so peeps don’t feel left out, I also include a picture of me with all of my sisters (sorry bro!)

Empathy

Hello blog world, remember me? We used to be friends… we giggled and shared pretty pictures with each other and gossiped for hours about clothes, clothes, clothes. I don’t want you to think I’ve forgotten about you, I’ve just been preoccupied with far less important things.

I’m going home next week and I can hardly wait to see all of my amazing family and friends, I’ve missed them all so. The occasion: my graduation. I am apparently a grown up which I find incredibly humorous. After all of the gruelling hours in the library, thankless last minute editing of group projects, learning to bite my tongue and get on with it… I’ve emerged on the other side with everything I could have hoped for from college- an amazing degree, faith in the sheer power of will and two of the best friends anyone could ever ask for (HAI NERDS)

Finding an appropriate outfit was always going to be a challenge- I swung from office chic to cupcake princess. Morticia Adams to pared down Chole perfection. I ended up with something completely unrelated to all of the above. I can’t go into details no but think… Mad Men. I found these shoots and simply must have one of these hairstyles please.

Thoughts?! It needs to be perfect and amazing and sturdy enough to last me through from 10am to 10am the following morning with a whoooooooooooole lotta dancing!

I’m going to be moving house soon, sharing with some lovely girls in Camden, can hardly wait! I’m also applying for a short course in CSM, must make use of being in London! Does anyone have any experience with their short courses that they feel like sharing?
