Where the People Are

Something you forgot you have but love…

This shirt is dry clean only- as a result it tends to linger at the bottom of my clothes basket until I remember to bring it to the cleaners. My lovely mom visits a dry cleaner far more regularly than I ever would so this shirt is back in the mix, at last.

Shout out to Sorcha for making my face look real girly with her magic makeup skills. Sound, lads.

Eyes Be Closed

A special occasion  outfit…

A vintage velvet and taffeta 50s style ballgown with velvet sash around the waist. I wore this to the Film Fatale afterparty (albeit briefly). I wish I could dress like this all day everyday. Thanks to the almost full circle skirt of this dress, it’s perfect for spinning around for hours on end.

Mille-Feuille

This was yesterday- I was working from home until 5 (pyjama club FTW!) so afterwards I felt like being fancy. If I had to pick one thing from my wardrobe that represents my style the most it would be this glorious skirt. Fashioned out of my debs dress (which was, shock horror, 6 years ago now), it has layers and layers of delicious mille-feuille that make me feel just magic.

I once went to a party

So on Saturday I stumbled off to a BBQ somewhere near Finsbury Park. It was fancy dress. I am not much of a fan of fancy dress as it usually means slutty or having to put in too much effort. Instead, I went dressed like this:

I was obviously a… princess? Anyway, I’ve been wanting to wear this skirt since I got here so any excuse really! It was made from my debs dress that I loved loved loved but knew I wouldn’t get much chance to wear again. I bought it in Jenny Vander in Dublin and it makes me feel magical. I ripped it on Sat night… that’ll teach me! Cape, tights and brogues from Penneys, top is a slip, hairband from Miss Selfridge, belt H&M, crap quality picture comes to us courtesy of Nikon.

This is the expression I wore for most of the night. Damn that delicious cherry cider
