The outfit you’ve had the best times in…
This is hard but in recent memory I have picked two. The first is a sequinned flapper style dress I wore for a dance performance- is was so fun to shimmy around in and really caught the lights. The second are my awesome sequinned short shorts (I’m sensing a magpie shaped theme) that I have only worn in London for some reason. I often find I tone down my clothes when I’m back in Dublin to avoid hassle when out and about. This isn’t to say Dublin isn’t stylish, I could just do without being glared at from time to time.

Your lazy day at home with style…
I don’t really do lounging clothes to be honest. I still don’t own a tracksuit and hopefully never will. Generally if I’m at home I’m in velvet leggings, a jumper and some slippers. A girl has to keep a little mystery so I’ll be keeping any photographic evidence of same closely guarded.

Nail art/your favourite polish and your nail varnish collection…
Below is my nail varnish collection (slash problem), currently housed in an old varnished cigar box. My current obsession is this Catrice polish with matte glitter and flakes. Very Christmas in a bottle but also works well over pastels for Spring/Summer. I painted my nails as cupcakes today- if I can’t eat them I may as well enjoy them in some way.

Change My Friends to Enemies

Your spring essential…

As Spring has been fairly disappointing this year, my essentials are the same as they are for Winter- lots of velvet and flannel all layered together for cozy warmth similar to wearing a blanket around in public. I ate my weight in Japanese food while wearing this last night, I regret nothing!

Pack Up, Don’t Stray

The item at the top of your wishlist…

Cute tights…

Luckily for me these two form a very convenient intersection. I’m currently hankering after these super duper cute tights from Turkish brand Penti. They have lots of off-beat tights that would fit right into my wardrobe. A recent stroke of look with the Revenue refunding me some over-payed tax means these may be in my wardrobe very very soon!

Where the People Are

Something you forgot you have but love…

This shirt is dry clean only- as a result it tends to linger at the bottom of my clothes basket until I remember to bring it to the cleaners. My lovely mom visits a dry cleaner far more regularly than I ever would so this shirt is back in the mix, at last.

Shout out to Sorcha for making my face look real girly with her magic makeup skills. Sound, lads.

Eyes Be Closed

A special occasion  outfit…

A vintage velvet and taffeta 50s style ballgown with velvet sash around the waist. I wore this to the Film Fatale afterparty (albeit briefly). I wish I could dress like this all day everyday. Thanks to the almost full circle skirt of this dress, it’s perfect for spinning around for hours on end.
