You know I like it loud

Dress- a gift from a lovely friend * Shirt- sample sale in my old job * Socks & Shoes- Penneys * Rosette- Handmade by an Irish designer, purchased in Lucy’s Lounge

Firstly a big mega load of thank you kindly to a very dear friend who I persuaded to lend me his camera. Mine has officially given up on me which is partially why I have been so shy of blogging lately. I’m not sure if you can tell but my bracelet has the sweetest little portraits of Blythe dolls, they make me smile- I have an entire collage of Blythe pictures hanging in my room. You can also spy my tattoo properly in these pictures.

I went to the launch of the Dublin Fashion Festival this evening in the beautiful dining hall of the Westin Hotel. There was bubbles, beautiful hats and lots of stylish so and so’s. Most importantly there was food. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t spend a considerable amount of time hanging around the chocolate fountain, “taking in the surroundings”

I cannot believe it is already the end of July- this Summer has been the fastest of my life so far. I have many lovely gigs planned and a mini excursion in September. Notting Hill Carnival is also pencilled into my calendar.

ps do knees freak anyone else out?

What part of forever

Allow me to introduce you to Caitlin Bellah- a wonderfully talented photographer from San Francisco, currently based in Europe for the Summer (and hopefully much, much longer!)

Caitlin aims to create pictures that look like paintings and has a beautiful girlish style that wouldn’t be amiss on the pages of Lula. Having already scored two high profile magazine covers for JPG and Peppermint, Caitlin continues to develop her work-drawing inspiration from film and other photographers. Reading these inspiration lists it is clear that Caitlin’s preferred style veers towards the whimsical side of things which suits me just fine!!

Caitlin also has a great Tumblr full of inspiring images and stories from her scrapbook to immerse yourself in.

I remember

This was my face yesterday- I popped along to Topshop for the launch of their new dress collection. I bought something for my not so little anymore sister which I now want to keep for myself. Absolutely EVERYTHING I’m wearing bar my tights is from Miss Selfridge- the most under-rated shop on the high street.

Still getting used to working all weekend every weekend, Summer makes me want to lie around with daiquiris and dance music allllllll day long.

Mille-Feuille

This was yesterday- I was working from home until 5 (pyjama club FTW!) so afterwards I felt like being fancy. If I had to pick one thing from my wardrobe that represents my style the most it would be this glorious skirt. Fashioned out of my debs dress (which was, shock horror, 6 years ago now), it has layers and layers of delicious mille-feuille that make me feel just magic.
