Prima Donna

Something I’m wearing for the first time…

Does a new hair-do count? Of course it does! Thanks to the wonderful Dearan at Style Club for making my hair look pretty again- he’s magic!

I don’t usually advertise things but as I’m going to be involved in this event, it’s totally okay

Come along to Film Fatale for All About Eve this Saturday in the Sugar Club- you can still buy tickets here. I’ll be there serving popcorn as an Usherette- very excited!

I’ll Take the Rain

I have the most…

Brooches and bows. So simple but one of my favourites for accessorising. I’m rarely without a bow adorning my head. Here’s a small selection of my collection.

Here’s what I look like today. Somewhat bedraggled with the crazy weather we’ve been suffering through.

Velvet and lace are boss. I don’t wear eye makeup anymore- I look a little like an alien but hey that’s fine with me.

The Gentle Roar

I have a new camera, hurray! To kick start me back into the world of blogging which I have been neglecting awfully, I’ll be taking part in the 31 day fashion challenge by the wonderful  Selena. I’m even starting a day early.

Your Wardrobe

As I’ve recently moved back to my parents place, my wardrobe is in a bit of a heap at the moment. I’m currently holed up in the attic like Quasimodo so the landing outside my room is the new home for my clothes. My coats and boring plain things are hidden away all over the house which makes getting dressed a bit of a scramble every morning. My special things are displayed on my wall to prevent them being crushed but also like art so I can appreciate them all the time.

On a side note- please please please get your mitts on the Niki & The Dove album- it is beautiful and haunting and makes me want to dance around my room. Niki is also a babe.

You know I like it loud

Dress- a gift from a lovely friend * Shirt- sample sale in my old job * Socks & Shoes- Penneys * Rosette- Handmade by an Irish designer, purchased in Lucy’s Lounge

Firstly a big mega load of thank you kindly to a very dear friend who I persuaded to lend me his camera. Mine has officially given up on me which is partially why I have been so shy of blogging lately. I’m not sure if you can tell but my bracelet has the sweetest little portraits of Blythe dolls, they make me smile- I have an entire collage of Blythe pictures hanging in my room. You can also spy my tattoo properly in these pictures.

I went to the launch of the Dublin Fashion Festival this evening in the beautiful dining hall of the Westin Hotel. There was bubbles, beautiful hats and lots of stylish so and so’s. Most importantly there was food. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t spend a considerable amount of time hanging around the chocolate fountain, “taking in the surroundings”

I cannot believe it is already the end of July- this Summer has been the fastest of my life so far. I have many lovely gigs planned and a mini excursion in September. Notting Hill Carnival is also pencilled into my calendar.

ps do knees freak anyone else out?
