This is sort of cheating since I’ve already posted pictures from my lovely trip to Disney but oh wells. I’m currently holed up in Ireland for the weekend, it’s so much more lovely than anything else that’s happened in quite a bit.

It’s sort of reminiscent of the shots taken by Annie Leibovitz for Disney featuring stars like Scarlett Johansson, Beyonce, David Beckham and Tina Fey with  the twist being that the new series takes a more realistic approach to the idea of  ”fairytale”.

Here, traditional fairytale characters are given a modern day makeover and put in seemingly disparate situations which have more in common with the real world than the fairytale’s they originally featured in. Prince charming is seen as an elderly man, sitting in a nursing home. Rapunzel has lost her crowning mane after a stint in chemotherapy. Snow white is left holding the children in a filthy house while her prince lazes around. You get the idea. Enjoy!
