I once went to a party

So on Saturday I stumbled off to a BBQ somewhere near Finsbury Park. It was fancy dress. I am not much of a fan of fancy dress as it usually means slutty or having to put in too much effort. Instead, I went dressed like this:

I was obviously a… princess? Anyway, I’ve been wanting to wear this skirt since I got here so any excuse really! It was made from my debs dress that I loved loved loved but knew I wouldn’t get much chance to wear again. I bought it in Jenny Vander in Dublin and it makes me feel magical. I ripped it on Sat night… that’ll teach me! Cape, tights and brogues from Penneys, top is a slip, hairband from Miss Selfridge, belt H&M, crap quality picture comes to us courtesy of Nikon.

This is the expression I wore for most of the night. Damn that delicious cherry cider

Hi there – LOVE the Jenny Vander skirt – another good reason to be moving to Dublin. Thanks for your comment. I used to live in London, and I do think it’s the best city you can live and work in. But I totally agree with you, you can be somewhere amazing yet wish your friends and family were sharing it with you. I’m sure it will get easier with time. Meanwhile, there are so many fantastic places to discover in London. I’m biased because I used to work on it, but Time Out magazine is really good on markets, sample sales etc and their Shopping Guide is great too. Good luck with it all, best wishes Sarah
